Another week, anotherdebut. This week we’re pleased to playhost to a chart topping act on a global scale, step forward Australia’s Yolanda Be Cool. Famed for their worldwide smash hit ‘We No Speak Americano’ which hitnumber 1 in over 18 countries, with over 5 million copies sold. A monster of a track, you’d have to be livingin an Igloo in Antarctica to have escaped hearing it. On Wednesday May 6th they come to Vessel to Obey the Kitty.

With over ten yearsDJing under their belts their musical influences extend far beyond their NativeSydney, from old school hip hop, to Chicago house to techno to pretty mucheverything in between. Bondi beach locals at heart, when out of the studio ornot playing at the biggest clubs in the world you’ll find them at the beachcatching waves.

The distinctlytropical flavour to their productions and fiercely educational attitude tosampling (in the case of ‘We No Speak Americano’ crate digging as far back as1950’s Italia) combined with their big room pull to pack out festival stagesand mammoth venues, as a dance act, nods more to creative sampling heavyweightslike Switch than any of their more current peers.
