JAR. BIOGRAPHY

What motivates a band to come back from a dormant career.
Money? A chance to reclaim the spotlight? Boredom?
Well for the band JAR. it’s pretty simple, “ Unfinished business”
with a dream that was cut short.

In 1998 the band JAR. which included original members “Garth Allen” and Rob wade” released
a full-length independent album titled “Knott Skull” and before that the ep "Harsh and Discord"
Both recordings through radio play and relentless touring garnered them the interest
of, among others SONY records.

JAR. would take on the moniker Flybanger and release an album titled “Headtrip to Nowhere”
with Columbia/Sony in 2001. Flybanger toured North America sharing the stage with artists
such as Clutch, COC, Sepultura, Hatebreed, Soulfly, and Dope. Flybanger's tour highlights
also included festivals with Sevendust, Filter, Judas Priest, Tool, Finger Eleven, Machine
Head and Cypress Hill.

The JAR. (Knottskull) version of the song "Cavalry" and
“Pull” can still be heard on commercial and Internet radio
today and is still one of the top requested songs on Vancouver's 99.3FM CFOX "90's at Noon"
program.

Flybanger disbanded in early 2002 .

In the years that followed Rob and Garth played in various music projects together and
separately, Keeping busy in the local Vancouver music scene.

With Facebook and other social networks the fans of JAR. had
been asking if there would ever be more music from them.
In the fall of 2010 Rob and Garth decided to put together a NEW JAR. band and do some
shows
just for the hell of it.

They enlisted former Annihilator bassist Russell Bergquist And former KILL RHYTHM guitarist
Chris “Weasel” Gorst to join in on the new incarnation of the band.

Motivated by the success of the first couple shows. JAR went into Earart studios in Delta BC with engineer Tim Neuhaus and over the course of the next year, re-recorded 11 of their best tracks.
Music that had defined them as the band to watch for . Music that was held back by recording contracts.
The efforts in studio have resulted in a new full length record Produced by Jar with
Long time friend and mega Producer/Mix engineer Mike Plotnikoff (Aerosmith/kiss/Papa Roach/
Apocalyptica/P.O.D./Van Halen.............) (Mike had recorded and mixed JAR's "KnottSkull" record in 98)
Present time: The band is currently shopping the record with Mike and booking shows.
