Electronic music producer, DJ and heavy bass lover, Marc Rémillard has been around for three years now, delivering solid tracks through a variety of labels, such as Play Me, Trouble & Bass, BugEyed Records, So French, Simma, etc.
Born and raised in Quebec City, Canada, Marc Rémillard has always strived to achieve a musical career. Composition-oriented form the beginning, he made his debut in the industry as a guitarist and music writer in a prog-rock band, but soon chose to devote himself entirely to his electronic projects, as his experiments on the digital arena were getting more and more prolific. Marc Rémillard got his first signing in 2008 -- next thing we knew of, he was rocking crowds at important local venues and conquering the neighboring Montreal scene, sharing the stage with the likes of Willy Joy, Kid Sister, Terror Danjah, Eskmo and Bar 9, to name a few. It is primarily through his audacious creativity and forward-mindedness that his local career so swiftly took off, as he began multiplying original productions and throwing massive local parties.
Marc Rémillard has also quickly gained support from respected names on the worldwide scene. In 2008 and 2009 respectively, he acquired visibility by winning two remix contests -- Pop Inc.'s "Looking for the KLF" and Radio-Canada's "Bande à Part" national remix contest. In 2010, he was noticed by Drop The Lime with his track Downtown, which was subsequently released on T&B. In 2010, Marc Rémillard began collaborating with Denmark's leading producer Frederik Olufsen, with whom he started running the label Royal Fetish Recordings. They worked together on a number of productions and joined forces on a Canada tour in early 2011. Marc Rémillard also frequently teams up with Canadian singer Dee and American rapper Messinian, who both contributed vocals on his material. He also has ongoing projects in collaboration with Mustard Pimp, Costello, Hostage, Will Bailey and Willy Joy, among others.
Thanks to his solid productions, diverse sound -- ranging from tropical vibes to trash and dubstep -- and high-powered live performances, Marc Rémillard has managed, all within two years, to distinguish himself as one of the busiest producers in Montreal, and a significant and promising figure on the worldwide scene. But when it comes to music, there's only one crucial thing to remember: it's all about the bass!

The Slag is not a vitreous by-product, a Transformer, or even a British whore. It's an exciting new star in the electronic world. After being discovered by Donald Glaude just over a year ago, the Slag has gone on to have a number one single on TrackItDown, a huge number of chart toppers on Beatport, and collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry. He's been featured in MixMag, Trashbagkids, Hypem, TrackItDown, Beatportal, Weekly Indie and Wicked Style magazine. Not to mention syndicated by IGN, voted first place in the Universal Records K-Os remix competition, and has official remixes for the likes of Metric, JELO, KillaGraham, Paul Anthony, Soulfix, and the Dan Mangan just to name a few. He's the host of the hugely popular 'Slag Show' on Digitally Imported radio, and a co-manager of Frederik Olufsen's worldwide electro house label 'Royal Fetish Recordings'.
Never to be confused with the many producers who aren't sure how to DJ, the Slag has been an international performer for some time. As part of the electronic sensation D2, the Slag and JVK won numerous awards in Tokyo for their high energy performances as they toured Japan. Not only did they hold a residency at ageHa, the largest club in the country, but they were also featured prominently on iFlyer and Metropolis Magazine.
Upon returning to North America, the Slag began working on his first solo productions. At the tail end of 2010 The Slag's work caught the eye of Donald Glaude's Eden Recordings who released his first album "Blasphemy". Nearly 4 months after its release it maintained the top position on Eden's Beatport top 10 selling tracks. Following its success he continued to release a series of chart topping singles on numerous labels. Teaming up with Champion Beats near the end of 2010 saw the release of the "Midnight Express EP", which received enormous critical praise and commercial success. The music video for 'Hit The Record Button' was syndicated by IGN Entertainment, and received 12000 views in the first day alone.
Alongside Frederik Olufsen and Marc Remillard, The Slag co-hosts the Royal Fetish Recordings Radio Show on Di.FM, to a massive worldwide audience.
In 2011 The Slag is touring across Canada, Brazil, and Europe as part of his 'Royal Fetish Recordings Worldwide Tour'. He's got major releases coming out on numerous worldwide labels, including Lazy Rich's Big Fish Records. He's got collaborations and remixes with JELO, Frederik Olufsen, Vodge Diper, Ryan Enzed, Zimo, Gustavo Brito, KillaGrahame, Becca, and Richard Wilkins on the burner as well.
