So here is an update for those who care...

On thursday (May 27th) I'm going to a private clinic to hopefully have my last major opperation. This will be my 5th overall and the 2nd on my left wrist. Because one of my bones in my forearm was broken really bad in the fall and then needed to get re-broken and internatty fixated it's leangth has been affected.

My Radius is about 3mm-4mm shorter than my Ulna and it's throwing off the mechanics of my wrist. Also it looks like a ligament let go cause from time to time if I make a particular motion in my wrist I have a bone that kinda dislocates and it's not too plesent.

Also my left thumb seems to be restricted and dosn't have satisfactory ROM either from scartissue or baybe a tendon issue.

Anyways, on thurs I'm going under and they will make and incision on the back of my wrist and the underside to remove the old hardware that kept my wrist together. He'll see what he can do for my thumb.

Next the surgeon is going to make an inscision along my ulna and he is going to expose the bone and re-break it and remove 3-4mm from the middle and put the peices together using some metal to keep everything sturdy while the bone hopefully melds together after a few months.

This will shorten the Ulna because it's easier to make the Ulna shorter than make the Radius longer. (Kinda works like a haircut I guess.. you can always take more off)

Then he is going to make another inscision on the outside of my wrist where the Ulna meets the wrist and will try to repair the ligament....

Cross your fingers and say a prayerThursday between 8:30am and 11am cause that's when the deal is going down. I'm probably gunna be outa action for a while so if you dont see me online.. now you know why.

Well the doctor descided to only do the one procedure I guess I woke up from the general and took a look and I was pretty choaked. You figure if you have someone unconscious and everything is going well and the person is gunna bet out of action for a few months you might as well do all that you can...

But the doctor said we'll get together again in about 6 months or so. Basicall all he did was open up the arm and cut out 3.5 mm from the center of my ulna and throw in somehardware to keep things sturdy.
