Normally when there is an internal fixation there is no cast. Most people don't know this though. When a break is so serious that they re-inforce the fracture with metal you don't really need the added support of the cast.
Ususlly It's just a splint or tensor with the primary purpose to prevent outside influences to affect the incision and its healing process.
I got a new neoprene wrist brace. Its black which is just great for summer. Oh well at least its trendy and versitive. Dress it up or dress it down the black goes with anything.

Man I cant believe that its already been a year since I started this thread. I've came a long way but the thing that I am most thankful for is the friends that have been there for me along the way.
Special shots out to a few cvers that have really been there for me"
ThePheonix - he was the only friend to visit me when I was in the hospital. he dropped everything at the drop of a hat and busses/skytrained/busses it out to see me. And he's been a loyal friend ever since.
Wolfchick and Heartbreaker - two of the most compassionate and accepting people that I've ever met.
wilez - helped me out with rides and stuff... but more than anything he makes me laugh. And I know if I'm ever in a bind that he'll come to my rescue.
exotica69 - somebody that I can just kick back and have a good time with. And very very patient.
Especailly with some of the short-term memory problems that I had to deal with... That was prolly the worst. Thanks to all the people that didn't get offended cause I missed birthdays or plans or forgot to call them back. It's awful when people take it out on you for something that you dont have any control over really.
There have been others out there that have done their part too. I don't mean to leave them out but I just wanted to take this oppertunity to point out some extraordinary people that havee really touched me this last year.

Okay so here is the latest for those who care. On thursday November the 18th I'm going in for what will hopefully be my last surgery.
The specialist is going to make 3 inscisions to remove some hardware that I have in my left wrist and to fix a ligiment. Hopefully he will also remove a plate that I have along my ulna as well.
The unlar plate dosen't really bother me as of yet and perhaps never will, but I figure that he might as well remove that one at this same procedure as it may save me a surgery down the road.
All together I will have about 11 inches of inscisions, and 30 - 40 stiches.
This isn't going to be a very painful surgery which will be nice for a change. The only part of it that is going to suck is that I wont be able to move my hand out of karate-chop position for over a month.
I'll make sure to get lots of pictures of this one.
