Curious to hear who the heads thought was the top DJ in the city for the 04'.

My pick is Matty Pacific...... the old school DnB DJ is the Don of the DnB scene here, and with loads of releases coming out on some of the genres top labels, me thinks its just a matter of time b4 he goes international.
His studio mix that was posted on nwdnb.com is ace. Loads of his own tunes on there.

Big up your chest Matty.... you got my pick for the 04'!

I'm just gonna go ahead say Jon Morgan a) because he's a hella nice guy b) is a wicked producer c) rocks it without trying to rock it but still rocks it d) best attitude.

So much talent here in Vancouver right now, that there's just way too many good ones to choose from smile

Not going to get into "who's the best", but I'd just like to give some props to the Technosexual Boys, Jason Tamplin and Andrew Pacey. Wicked DJ's and a couple of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of working with!!! big grin

Ya, Vancouver has lots of talents. I'd say the best (in no particular order) include RC Lair, Nicky Delgado, Kevin Shiu, Andy Clockwork, Scott Audio.

Andy Clockwork is one of my favorite Vancouver DJs :-) Great taste in music, and a super nice guy to boot!

O god,I know where this is going,
the guy that play the most popular music will always win
in the end,
so far I love everyone that is on the list,but I bet you someone is going to mention
the radio djs soon.(sorry nothing personal against the radio or pop music)
For me music is an art form,there is no such thing is the best.
As long you love what you do and you put your heart to it ,you are your own best.
Fu*k what everyone thinks.
There are lots of unsung hero in Vancouver,you guys are all the best.

I TOTALLY agree with what Scott said.

I know lots of good DJ's that are selfish and complete assholes. It's the real DJ's that shine when they are good at putting a needle to the record not only because they love music, but also because they want to contribute to the scene.
