no, not entirely. but pandas are endangered species and I tfigured that it would be hard to get one near a leather loafer and sliding glass balcony door.

I could be wrong though....

yeah. 9k. check the statistics. there are actually people out there in the big wide world that make less than $200 a YEAR.

sheltered anyone?

Uh. Yah. And they bum change for a living.

Anyway I know there are people who make 9K a year. But are you serious about that being considered "high income"??

I just don't see how anyone could live comfortably on that amount of money.

like i said.

sheltered.

those people don't "bum change for a living" they toil away doing hard labor for about 10 cents a day.

and yes acordding to the UN, anything over 9K is high income

I honestly never realized what I was missing in my life until I started volunteering. I volunteer in the oncology ward at Children's Hospital, where I spent a big chunk of my child hood.

My volunteer work is with children and its amazing how rewarding it is. heart

I agree with what you are saying............

however, in a VANCOUVER society....pretty damn hard to live in Van for 9K a year......is that before or after taxes, cuz if it's before, you won't make it unless you live in a scummy hotel on the eastside.....

mariner:

a single woman on social assistance will recieve aproximately 12k a year. and yes, most of them do end up on the eastside in "apartments"

anyone that thinks going to school to get a better job later on is a moron. 4 years of work experience is way more worth than 4 year degree

and how are you going to get 4 years work experience when you have no skills or training? bang head bang head

When you're in a company and there is an upcomming promotion, and there are 3 people applying for the job, and 2 of them have degrees and the other dosnt... They wont even look at the other person.

do you know any executives who dont have any education? any engineers? doctors, dentists, lawyers, accountants?

i guess the doctors at my company who went to school for 10 years were morons, although they make well over 300$ an hour now.. wow they're dumb

Alot of you seem to be missing the point that not everything in this world is driven by $.. You can make alot of money in sales if you want to be a rat.

some people actually went to school because they liked the idea of actually using their mind and accomplishing something, or helping someone rather than just running a "business" or picking up a hammer and hitting things, or lifting boxes off a truck or whatever.

YEAH I DO.

my dad's been an engineer for over 30 years. and with no formal training, he is still one of the world's experts on the configuration of high-density wafer board plants.

20K a cheque aint bad (2 a month). especially with all expenses paid as well.

how you doing?

The best job I ever had, I made $150 USD a month.

I want to go back and do it again.

With a degree, they said they'd pay me $200. smile

Like I said unless you specialize you’re not going to be very successful. Bachelors degree in philosophy, what the f*uck is that? Or any other kind of arts degree, the only way those are beneficial is if you go all the way and specialize in the field, even then you’re not guaranteed to make a ton of cash.

HEY NOW! I'm getting a B.A! angry

But, I'll be working for the government, just as I am now, but I'll move up and receive better pay and more benefits. big grin

Although, I must admit, i'm not doing my B.A for the job aspect, moreso out of pure enjoyment. *shrugs*
