	Veni_C Member (67posts) 3/2/2005 11:59:00 PM its not that the turnover is high.. we're just super super picky at who we hire.. and if they dont think theyre good enough.... then they get let go right away.. or people just leave cause they cant handle it i guess.. its a very busy location!!

	dopey Nightlife Industry (1083posts) 3/3/2005 1:28:00 AM youre right I heard a rumour that there is going to be a restaurant opening up in the lower mainland somewhere that will have an environment like cactus club/ earls/ joey tomatoes but will ONLY serve chinese food....imagine that, hot servers, awesome setting, comfy lounge area...couple beers on tap...but with chinese food... that sounds awesome Im not sure if this is true though, I really hope it is.... I cant wait

	KraftDinner Member (3460posts) 3/4/2005 1:42:00 PM I know everyone says that the Cactus Club hires just for looks but when I first moved here, I was feeling pretty overwhelmed by the city. I went in to the CC on Granville and Broadway. The waitress who served me was fantastic -- she had one of those personalities that starts from around the heart and radiates 10 feet out. Definitely made me feel a lot more comfotable and, yes, even welcome. Yes, I know that's her job. Over the years there have been one or two "duds", but I have to say that the Cactus Club staff at the locations I've visited have been generally top notch, people-oriented folk. The fact that they generally look great is just reflective of that overall high standard, and the exingencies of the service industry around here. IMO, anyway.
