OK... so this is not so much "scene" type stuff, but...

The Powell Street Festival is next weekend, and there's a couple of things peeps here might like.

First, for those that like the leftfield, shoe-gazing, fu(k wit' yo' hed muziq... Nobukazu (DJ) Takemura is playing a show on July 30. The show has been moved from Blim to Open Studios at #200 – 252 East 1st Ave. Admission is $15 (general) / $12 (students/seniors). Doors open at 9 pm.

Second, on Sunday at 11:30, there will be a demonstration of kyudo (Japanese ceremonial archery) at the Vancouver Japanese Language School. Eve & I are practitioners and will be taking part in the demo. This is apparently the first time kyudo has been shown at the Powell Street Festival.



... and of course, listen to the Art of Beatz on Co-Op Radio Thursday nights at midnight!!!
