I just returned from Puerto Vallarta a couple weeks ago...stayed for two weeks...

VERY humid this time of year but I LOVED IT!! We had a great time. Overcast in the morning, beautiful in the afternoon, and some wicked storms sometimes at night.

For two weeks, two people, all inclusive, ocean-view top-floor room w/ king sized bed, including direct flight w/ free drinks on the plane, medical insurance, AND taxes, we paid a grand total of:

$3,100 CAD

If you are going to DR, punta cana has the nicer beaches (from punta cana to samana) but it's quieter. The best nightlife can be found at puerto plata.

You have to consider that not all the places that have been recommended offer all-inclusive resorts. You can do all inclusive in costa rica in Liberia (not san jose).

If you wanna do an all inclusive that's not typical (like ibiza, morroco, puerto rico) check out club med. they have them almost everywhere, but it's a lil more pricier.

I'd recommend Cabo San Lucas or Ixtapa Zihuatenejo. In Mexico or DR(puerto plata) or Cuba ( Varadero/Havana split package with signature).

Holy expensive stag! The cheapest place to go in Mexico is generally Mazatlan - but for a stag I would just take him to LA for a weekend or something. I wouldn't want my finacee's stag to be a week long - I'd want to come along! wink

Turkey.

I honestly have NO idea how much it costs to get there from here... But Turkey is to Europeans what Mexico is to North Americans. Insanely cheap vacation packages to be found.... at least they are cheap if you are departing from, say, Frankfurt wink

tahiti is NOT a placce for a stag. Its a ROMANTIC spot, and the 1599 for 6 nights you are talking about does NOT include food and WOULD NOT be in an overwater bungalow. those things cost around 700$ a night!
Its 15$ for a cup of coffee in some places in tahiti. Tahiti is where you take your NEW WIFE on a Honeymoon. There are virtually NO children in bora bora.
Stars go to tahiti and a place called turtle island. Google that, britney had her honeymoon there so did 'trista and ryan', all for a mere you know.. 20000 a person or more. NOT a party place.

If you're going to PV, ANYTIME is good to go. I just got back from there, and it was nice and hot and humid. However, there are more mexican tourists at this time. There is a lot to do there, but the ocean does not compare to the caribbean. If you want more info on PV or other places.. msg me. Travel agent here. smile anytime between now and mid november you can get prices from about 900$ canadian pp ALL inclusive for some really nice hotels.

Also, tripadvisor forums help you ask the locals and people who travel frequently to each place where the best place to stay is. You can also get reviews on hotels and stuff. I live by it

Allot of those places are geting quite far (and pricey) from home.

If you're tired of Mexico ( I personally like Mazatlan better than Puerto Vallarta), why not Hawaii? You're going to pay US prices either way. They don't generally have all-inclusive, but you'll find good deals on flight and hotel combos.
