For anyone who has been to Costa Rica

Where do you think the best spot would be to party it up?!

I'm trying to plan my route without backtracing
I'm thinking Tamarindo, or Jaco Beach

But even thoug Jaco is a party town I found it kind of gritty and too Americanized. Plus my friend got kidnapped there stranding me on the streets with a bunch of people who didn't know English so it's sketchy! haha

Montezuma or Mal Pais - - these are much smaller than Jaco ... but a lot of fun! Don't know about New Year's..

^Well I'm going to Montezuma and Mal Pais for sure during the trip
I was just there in March and loved it
But they weren't that much of party towns, and I figure New Years I should go for the hotspots!

I've decided I'm going to be spending New Years on Manuel Antonio.

Each Year there is a beach party attracting 1000's of people
And the place is amazing. Just minutes away from the Park. Walking thru the jungle I saw all kinds of monkeys sloths, lizards, tropical land crabs etc. It was pretty intense

Gonna spend a few days here for sure

Tabacon Hotsprings near La Fortuna
It's pure paradise
My Girlfriend has never travelled anywhere either so this is the place I'm most excited to take her to

The water is as hot as a hottub, fuled by the contstantly erupting Arenal Volcano directly above

I made it!

I'm going! wooooooooooo
Dec 28th to Jan 11th

I cashed in my Visa airmiles and got my girlfriend and I 2 flights to Costa Rica for New Years!!!!
We're going to lots of places to do lots of beach stuff, partying and surfing but these 2 places I'm most excited for......

Gonna spend a few days in a treefort


and most definatly gonna spend a few days relaxing in the hotsprings.
especially beside the swim up bar. There's just something so appealing drinking heavily in a giant natural hottub!

The Volcano above is always erupting and the water below is as hot as a hottub

I was in Jaco on New Year's 2003 and it was a blast! We stayed at the Copocabana and the adjacant beach was packed with locals and tourists. There were plenty of bars/clubs along the main street that were packed with people.
