Does this give anyone a clue about the timeout error? Got it by searching for error 80040e31 on google.

quote:
had a problem with the sql server timing out giving the error 80040e31 on asp pages that were running very simple queries that had been working before.

i searched hard for solutions, several forums mentioned the problem but no-one that i could find had a satisfactory answer.

well in this case, the answer was that there was an uncommited transaction which was causing the server to hang, as soon as the transaction was commited (it was a badly formed query in a query analyser session) then problem over.

And another thread from a webDev forum

quote:

... found the following MSDN article which describes a scenario in which the "autogrow" feature of SQL databases can yield timeout errors. Hopefully this helps in some way.

Heres the link of which they speak
http://support.microsoft....aspx?scid=kb;en-us;305635

And another link.
http://vyaskn.tripod.com/..._odbc_timeout_expired.htm

I'm sure that this is not news for CV admin, but who knows what other users may get a lightbulb idea by reading this stuff.

The rating system could be better.

Instead of one number...have one number for the people who have added them ans friends and then another number for the people who have blocked them.

None of this negative stuff.

Karma or the like!
It's on a lot of message boards but I figure with CV it would be freakin awsome

People could give a poster good or bad karma, along with a short annymous private message saying if they liked or disliked their post

^ Yeah I agree. Shortcuts (like those for the smileys) instead of typing the tags everytime would be nice smile

I am running into another problem. I cannot upload any more pics to my album. I get the error:
=======================
Persits.Jpeg.1 error '800a0002'

The system cannot find the path specified.

/photos/inc/functions.asp, line 282
=======================

Can you fix it michaelvaf ? sad

Oh and another thing. Is it possible to have WorldWide input threads like this one as a choice for other types of threads? Or how do you do it If I am being ignorant.

I just hate it when there are clone threads for example one in Seattle and one in Vancouver. I end up putting all my ideas into one and not the other big grin

Globalization is not bad, more heads put together to think about the same thing big grin

This site needs an approval process for nicknames/accounts by clubvibes staff & administration...

This suggestion comes after my privacy being violated through the use of my real identity and details etc under fake accounts..Not only me, but this has happened to others...

It's quite distressing and this problem needs to be addressed. There has been an abundance of fake aliases recently, so if this site wants to keep its credibility, something needs to be done.
