I love ross. I've been meaning to come down and visit him. seriously...he is one of the best profs you'll ever have.

as far as the term paper goes...don't expect a good mark on the first draft of your paper. I took 5 classes with him and the highest I ever got, or saw anyone else recieve, was a B+ (In comparative politics...take it! it's so good!). So don't worry...the first time I got a term paper back from him I got like a C+ or something...and I cried. He just does that...haha...he is a jerk.

As far as his exams...don't worry...if you have a pretty good handle on the pre-test you'll be fine. If you have any questions just phone him...he's gives out his home # for a reason...and he doesn't have email at home.

ya i got an a minus on my first exam but it was multiple choice and i studied like crazy but im gonna bring him a draft of my paper first.....hes tough but i really like him.....id rather have a tough prof and get a b+ first year and be conditioned so that i can kick ass in any other course, rather than have him too easy and be ****ed for my 2nd year courses.....thanx by the way nice to hear i wouldnt be the only one if i got a b lol

well study really hard, cuz generally the way to bring your mark up in his class is the exams. He's tough on the papers.

weirdly enough I got higher marks in his 200 classes...I think they were just a touch more interesting than canadian politics.

I'm totally on his team as far as his ideology and such, but I took 3 classes with him and didn't learn a thing.

you should take soc. 106 semester with Francis Adu-Febiri. He is the best professor ever and honestly my favorite person in the entire world. He taught me more ( not so much content, but crazy critical thinking skills) than anyone else ever!

his exams are okay....but his ideological bias is definitely in them so just approach the questions as if you were peter maidstone and you'll be fine.

I went to school this am, my 830 class teacher was there. She got in **** from another teacher for going ahead with our class. We were more then happy to have it. My afternoon classes have been cancelled so far, have to call later to check. They had to cancel the first year nursing students midterm since no teachers showed up. I have a midterm on Monday and have missed the only 2 classes before it - due to thanksgiving and this strike.

From what I saw while on campus (lansdowne) classes are being cancelled all over the place. And if they are having classes they wont announce it cause then it is an "official class" which the teachers can't do. Best bet is call your teacher.
