I realize the technical and medical difference between the two..
but I was wondering what your guys' experience is/was with it?

Personally otc lo was too low for me as I got spotting and it didn't really control my periods all the well at all. Otc reg has done a way better job. No mood swings, weight gain ect. plus much better control.
Hope that helps.

^ my issue with Tri regular was that it would make me puke on the 3rd pill, and on the 17th I would turn into a bitch from HelllLLllLLLL!
I told my Dr. About this and she suggested LO.. but I am sorta apprehensive about changing types because I had been on Ortho Tri regular for years.

When I tried it years ago I would get really sick when I took otc reg for the first week. You can always try the otc low and if it doesn't work go back to the otc reg. It doesn't sound like the otc reg is workng out for you if you're getting sick and turning into a bitch. It could be you need a lower dosage birth control. The lower the hormones the less side effects.
Everyones bodies react to birth control differently so the spotting may not happen to you.

I've never tried otc lo but the regular type was pretty tolerable, the only really significant side effect it gave me was nausea.
It varies with everyone

I had a huge problem with mood swings and feeling pukey with my birth control.... it went away as soon as I switched to Triquillar.
Now i just have to get down the remembering to take it every single day part...
