I'm doing the food suggestions -- but not the stupid laxatives. Those things made me ILL and CRANKY.
I highly recommend the Cookbook you can get to go with the cleanse.
I've really enjoyed LOTS of the recipes in it.

That sounds interesting - where can I find out more on it?

I got the cleanse at a healthfood store.
It's the only cleanse I would do/recommend because you don't have to fast/starve at all. You can also have meat and fish on the cleanse.

My mother just finished it.
I've tried it before but it made me feel GROSS.
I'm thinking of trying it again, to see if I lose a few pounds.

I've done the Wild Rose cleanse several times and agree, the cookbook is a godsend.
However, this time around I am doing SmartCleanse because there isn't as strict of a diet plan with it and I am far too lazy these days to do all the cooking/prep etc. that Wild Rose calls for.

does it come as a package w/ a detox kit, or is the wild rose cleanse just a book?

They have a detox package and sell the cookbook separately.
The recipes do take a bit more prep than sandwich making... but there are some faster recipes too.

did it. liked it, however, as you say i skipped the laxatives.
IMO, they're not necessary. if you follow their guidelines i feel your body will eliminate toxins without overdoing it and making you feel like crap.
haven't tried the cookbook, but it would probably help cut down on the time required to prep recipes on your own.

i'm about to try the d-tox, but the store i bought it from didn't have the cookbook in stock.
if someone has the cookbook and have got any good recipes they'd recommend, i'd appreciate all the help i can get!
thanks!

i read a yoga book and the guy said that you should drink water first thing in the morning and then barf it out.
he also said that you should pour salt water UP your nose to clean it, and he had a 'natural enema' suggestion, lol.

I've done it twice. I halved the laxatives the first time, and skipped them entirely the second time. You don't need laxatives to cleanse your body, you just need to eat properly- and I think their guidelines for how to eat are actually pretty good.

You probably aren't reacting well to the pills.
Maybe just 1/2 the dosage.
I felt gross too.
I could see the possibility of losing weight on this plan due to a diet change and the harsh laxatives.

i heard it's just a regular healthy diet....
i haven't tried it but i only eat fish, complex carbs, no dairy....thats what i happen to like...I take iron though otherwise I feel super tired.

"I got tired of eating almonds, apples and yucky salmon. "
I eat these every day cause that's what i like.
But then I didn't grew up here and I find grilled cheese sandwiches on white bread repulsive.
If you eat no processed foods at all, you don't need laxatives.
However, if you are used to eating burgers with fries everyday and cereal with milk for breakfast, then yes...you should first flush it all out.

I think that healthy vegetables and fruit would be able to flush stuff out on their own.
