at times.

for you, is it b/c too many workouts in a short period of time, or too hard of a routine, or any thing from your personal life?

the best thing to do i guess is step back for a few days, re-evaluate things, & get things rollin again.

good luck!

I had that happen this week... Tuesday I realized I was working out so much and dieting so much that I had started to lose muscle...

it took a day to figure out what I had done wrong.. make some changes and was back at it

I have a hard time because I am in pain a lot of the time when i work out--- i have to be very gentle and often it becomes tedious. I am also only allowed to do very limited weights, at a low weight.

I just remind myself that i need to continue at this level in order to build upon it and to aid in recovery.

I find that mixing it up by going cardio/weights/cardio/stretching and abs makes it a bit easier.

i'm not sure why i'm like this but i have decided to take a week off and see if i can come up with a new routine or something.

i can see how a guy might see his muscles getting bigger and that would make you want to do more.

i on the other hand have only been maintaining my figure for a long time and don't see results, anymore.
i'm rewarded only by staying the same.

I sometimes hold my breath for entire sets of 6-10 reps. This in turn gives me headaches for days afterward.

Perhaps in my next 20 years of gym time I shall attempt to stop that.

your muscles need oxygen in order to function properly, especially when your lifting heavy. breathing is key and if you get it right youll be able to life more not to mention you wont feel faint or dizzy lol

inhale on the negative and exhale on the positive.

burn a fatty before the gym blush gives me all the energy i need for an intense workout wink

^ I'm too lazy right now to dredge up my Captain Obvious account.

you essentially are a narcissist to keep going.

My intention to workout to look good changed after the third time visiting the gym, it became something else.

~ I switch around activities

~ I focus on a different body part when I go to the gym (then you have different goals)

~ I surf the net for new exercises

~ I watch the personal trainers help the clients to get new ideas for myself

~ Just recently I have taken up sprinting because I was tired of the same 10km runs I was doing.

When it gets boring and repetitive there is NO motivation for me.
