1.5 finally, I have been resisting the upgrade to the beta! Now I can, sweet!

i've been playin around with 1.5 the past couple days and I find it very sensitive to MP3 rips.. the slightest anomaly can drop out the track as well as crash your SSL.. god forbid this happens during your gig. What's weird is that the same MP3 plays perfect on 1.4 with no drops nor crashes..

BUILD OVERVIEWS or KEEP 1.4 ( rename file to scratchlive1.4.exe) and install 1.5.. you won't lose 1.4 and it's log files..

I'm also realizing that 1.4 and 1.5 do not share the same CRATE log file so you will have to make seperate crates for each application.

at this point in time, I cannot afford minor anomalies to crash my system so I use 1.4 for gigs and use 1.5 for practice..

I haven't done much tests on WAVs and AIFF files.. ill keep ya posted

i had 2nd thoughts of it .. did a huge gig in victoria last nite. . and figured i may as well leave 1.4 for another weekend.

keep the updates coming .. i hate changing good things.

im gonna download and rename though ,.. see how it works for me.

the sensitivity to the mp3's in 1.5 is not a real prob you just have to give yourself time to rebuild your overviews. what happens is 1.5 catches the issues of what the earlier versions don't. THIS IS A GOOD THING.

serato is working on making the rebuilding process alot less long term. I have used 1.5 now for over 6 months with no real issues.

one thing i do recommend is to upgrade your usb cable to a 2.0 cable.

having both 1.4 and 1.5 on your comp is a good thing!!!

also the crate system is different as it has been enhance to load faster and be less taxing on the cpu and ram.

^ i believe that, brutha.. nothing like a turntablist doing his thing on SSL.. its crazy sick..I've seen DJ AM and Jazzy Jeff do some crazy stuff too..

ya and now with the release of the ttm 57sl i will be in love for a life time with rane
