I kinda thought, oh, it's gonna suck telling my kid I met my wife on the internet. I mean, how lame. Then I thought, wait, my kids will probably see me as a pioneer as probably everyone they ever meet will be through the internet. heart

^^ So do I big grin

I met my wife while on CV, but not through CV. When we started dating I didn't log in for something like three weeks (we were really busy wink ) so they yanked my moderator privileges permanently.

That's how you win friends and influence people! bang head

Megan and I have been dating for five years in October and we got married in 2004. Things are spiffalicious.

I met my girl on CV 2 and half years ago, not only is she my best friend but she also knows more about me than anyone. I have never been so forthcoming and honest with every part of who I am as I am with her, including all my flaws, defects and what makes me vulnerable. We have never had an argument or even raised our voices at each other (with the exception of being excited.) I am able to communicate better with her than with anyone I have ever met ( I honestly didn't even think it was humanly possible to effectively communicate in the same way that we speak to each other.) I have never been more willing to do things for someone as I am willing to do things for her. I have never put forth as much effort to make things work as I do with her. I accept every single part of who she is wholly and completely. She alone has single-handedly restored my faith in the fact that there are people out there who don't just look out for their own personal interests.

She is the smartest, most compassionate, funniest, most loving, beautiful, charismatic, artistic, perceptive, intelligent, intuitive, thoughtful, caring, person that I know or that I have ever met. I could spend the next month digging through a dictionary and I would only be able to describe but a fraction of the depth and wonder that is my girl. I love her with all my heart and I have CV to thank for all of this. I wish that my words could give justice to the amazing person that she is. I make her laugh everyday and she makes my heart melt with joy.

I have never had as much in common with another person as I have in common with her, or even met two other people that have as much in common as her and I share. Not only have our own personal experiences been the exact same in so many ways but our families' lives, our close friends, extended friends, extended family, and extended friend's families' lives been through so many of the exact same situations. It is uncanny.

Have you done a DNA test to make sure she is not your long lost adopted twin sister? Stuff like that does happen, you know.

I am currently working on a gift for her that I started about 3 months ago. I still have about 3 to 6 months before it is finished. I work on it everyday from anywhere between 20 minutes and 4 hours. I usually average about 2 hours a day. lol @ my need to make it "perfect." I have never put so much time, effort, and energy into anything, let alone a gift for someone else. I just wish I could get it done faster. The only problem is the more time I spend on it the more ideas I have to add to it, which in turn creates a longer timeline. In the end it will be worth it to see the reaction on her face. The best part is it will take her months if not years to understand the gift in its entirety. With each passing day she will find something new that she didn't see before.

She is worth every second of time that I put into it.

wink

I don't really care in anyone believes me or not, she likes to read what I post in reference to her and that is all that matters to me.
