Why is it so difficult for you and others on this thread to understand Hezbollah is NOT a country. The rules of engagement are different.

We have no failure to understand this. Israel doesn't understand this though. They're treating hez like a country - like a conventional enemy. They're just bombing 'the other side', without understanding that you can't bomb lebanese civilians and 'stop' the terrorists.

Killing terrorists is like playing wack-a-mole. You get them out of one hole, and they jump into another. Everyone knows this...except apparently the war mongers in Israel.

England didn't bomb the crap out of Dublin when the IRA bombed London. England understood that the IRA was NOT a country and you can't just attack Ireland as a way to get back at the IRA.

But you haven't yet connected the dots at how this fact necessitates the destruction of lebanon, the bombing of the airport, powergen bridges and infrastructure - things that don't punish hezbollah, and only punish the Lebanese civilians.

it is a neccessary evil that while destroying hezbollahs ability to re-supply, civilians will be affected. Hopefully they (the civilians) will remember this the next time the lebanese govt is up for elections.

they are obviously not intentionally killing civilians. They are dropping leaflets warning them about their impending doom- err i mean giving them time to get away. Hopefully, IMO, the lebanese will remember what hezbollah cost them during the next elections. These are my hopes, im not making excuses for the IDF.

proportionality does not mean that in a war, anything and everything that is of use by the civillian population is untouchable... that is an absurd conclusion

the entire point of warfare is to cripple the enemy's capacity to make war

things like key transportation and energy infrastructure, while useful for civillian populations, are vital to any war effort, and are good, high value targets that must be crippled

once again if they were intentionally killing the lebanese then why are they doing such a poor job. israel could flatten beirut in one day - wont happen.
