Working at the mall I see tons of people have interviews everyday, and I am starting to notice a trend in what people seem to feel is decent for an interview and Im NOT impressed. I dont care what the interview is for you SHOULD dress for succes and that doesnt include wearing flipflops, camo capris (as much as I (l) em), hoodies (l) (l), or baseball caps...this is absolutely ridiculous....wear proper clothes people or you will NOT get the job tongue

Hah. I wore flip flops and capris to my last two job interviews, and got the jobs blank stare Then again, my job is just a dead end minimum wage job.

I always dress for success for interviews. My last interview was for my current job 4 years ago at a vet hospital. I wore nice proffesional clothes. Deffinately not clothes you'd wear for the job, but I think it shows you care.

i wore regular everyday pants, casual shoes and a button up shirt to the interview for my current job. i didn't know i'd be interviewed that day. the standard procedure is to drop off a resume, take a couple tests then come back another day for an interview.
i walked in to drop off a resume and walked out two hours later with a job.

granted it was west, but most people have to go through a couple interviews then come back to sign papers. i did it all at once. my ride wasn't impressed when she had to wait in the car for all that though

I think if you are even dropping off resumes you shoudl look presentable, even if it is janitor work, you should as Gia said "dress for success" the employeer will appreciate it.

^i was presentable, i just might have worn nicer pants/shoes had i known i'd be interviewed that day. or if it were for a place that wasn't desperate to hire anyone

no that totally sounded fine!!!

I was thinking of a lady that dropped off her resume to us at the jewellery store I worked at, she had on a hoddie, runners and jeans with hoels in them... UMMM high end retail... my manager literally threw it in the garbage as soon as she left....

I was caught sneaking back in one night and was
forced to go out and get a job that day,
wearing the same clothes i was wearing
at the time of Catching in question.

So I walked into the wicket for the first time ever
wearing the following:
Orange Tie Die Pajama T shirt
An old sckool Canuck Baseball cap
Green Sweatpants that looked like MC hammer pants
Pair of running shoes with no laces.

Five years later i quit the wicket for The Agency.
i remember wakling in there like i owned the place
wearing a Freshly opened
Straight outta the box
Dark Blue Dress shirt < untucked >
With a tie made out of birds feathers
McDonald's Issued dress shoes
and my karate gui pants.

This job interview i got for tomorrow tho
i was thinking of something a bit more classy

^ Dont worry about classy just be presentable because heck you should see the shirts we have to wear...and the dress code is as long as your ass is not visible its ok yes
