If the IDF wanted to really act as bloodthirsty as you all think they are....they would just carpet bomb the territories. It would be as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. They have amazing restraint. They could nuke the whole strip in an hour and be done with it. But they dont. You fail to see that.

you think the world, no matter how strong the zionist lobby is, would sit back and not say anything?
even the US would be forced to pull out of supporting israel.
stop with the "restraint" crap.

You think too highly of the world, this is the same world that is allowing the Islamist Radicals commit genocide on the non-islamist blacks in Darfur, I bet 99% of the people on this forum don't even know where the Darfur region is.
The state of Isreal has killed 4,286 Palestinians since the violence broke out in 2001. Anywhere between 100,000-300,000 people have died in Darfur in the last calendar year. Just to put things into perspective King Hussein of Jordan killed more Palestinians, expelling them from Jordan during Black September than Isreal did during it's entire exsistence.
I always here people whining and bitching about how Isreal is the greatest evil, the biggest threat to world peace, etc etc etc.... They need to open there eyes and see there are bigger evils in this world that Isreal.
Not condoning civilian killing, but when you are a country of 6 million, surrounded by enemy states numbering 350 million, you cant fight a war of attrition, it just doesn't make logistical sense. It's why Isreal's response is so heavy handed, there is literally no one to replace there loses. Isreal has fought three MAJOR wars, none which they instegated, maybe except for one where they launched a pre-emptive strike. But when you are a country of 6 million, who go from the holocaust. then three wars in 50 years to this, you just don't take rockets coming in from the Gaza strip with a grain of salt.

Oh, then you have Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a man who publicy adovcates that the Holocaust did not exsist, does not recognize the state of Isreal, and preaches every freaking day how the end of the Jews is coming, and they will be the ones to exterminate them. The here is Iran building its nuclear program, with no world intervention? Again... doesn't say much for the zionist lobby in the U.N.

Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid is a controversial book written by former President of the United States Jimmy Carter. The former president asserts in the book that Israel’s current policies in the Palestinian territories constitute “a system of apartheid, with two peoples occupying the same land but completely separated from each other, with Israelis totally dominant and suppressing violence by depriving Palestinians of their basic human rights.”

^ No, wrong. Israeli militarism= wrong. Hamas militarism= wrong. Canada condemns Hamas, Canada needs to also condemn Israel to have moral authority.

^ what are you talking about?
Estimates of the number of the people killed in the ten days of Black September range from three thousand to more than five thousand
these are people on both sides and this was during a full on war between jordan and the PLO.

nearly 4000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since 2000. somewhere between 3 and 5000 people died in black September, so at this rate it takes about 6 years at the very most for Israel to kill that many Palestinians.
Further, Jordan is not keeping Palestinians under curfew, and building "Jordanian-only" colonies on their land, and keeping millions more as refugees.
Cumalitively, occuped Palestinians have endured hundreds of thousands of hours of curfew in the last few years. It chokes their economy and their lives.
