what gets markers off of wood?

permanent marker. sad

my bosses daughter missed the paper and my desk is umm, destroyed to put it lightly.

Magic Erasers. Found in any cleaning section of any grocery store. Those things are.....MAGIC!!!

Wood is porous and absorbs liquids very well... What kind of wood is it made from?

Was the wood unfinished or finished?

Its not looking very good, but a solvent may take up the marker... AND possible the finish. Its not looking good.

I wish I knew what worked - I've tried EVERYTHING (my daughter did the same thing in our home office)! I ended up sanding it off and re-varnishing blank stare
