"A male contraceptive designed to stop the ejaculation of sperm is being developed by British scientists.

"It blocks the pumping action of the sperm duct," Dr. Christopher Smith, who is involved in the research, told Canada AM on Tuesday. "So although you're producing sperm quite normally, they're no longer pumped out during the ejaculation phase and are just left behind."

The tablet, which would work just hours after being taken, would effectively create a "dry orgasm" with the user's fertility returning back to normal shortly after taking the drug."

Also, in a poll taken by CTV of those internet users who chose to participate, 68% say that men cannot be trusted to take the contraceptive pill while only 32% believe men can be trusted to take the pill.

^Im pretty sure that the ejaculation fluid still comes out, only without the sperm in it... or is that right?

Personally I would love for this to be available. I would trust my boyfriend to take it... he's way more responsible than I am.... but Ive talked to him about this before and the thought of it kinda freaks him out... maybe once its been on the market for awhile devil

Ahhh but what about the whole STD thing, wouldn't it give men a false sense of security.

I believe the demographic is for couples. I think so because the time of effect that has to happen from taking the pill to when the well goes dry.

I'd be laughing my (_)_) off if someone took the pill before going out to the club looking for a one night stand. Condoms will always be the standard for those rendezvous. Now if women would start to carry female condoms more often...I love those FN things.

I can't seem to find the link but it was from CTV. I'll repost it if I find out.

Somewhere in the article, it said the drug won't be ready for another five or so years because additional tests are still required.

Im pretty sure that the ejaculation fluid still comes out, only without the sperm in it... or is that right?

I was wondering about this too as the article was unclear. I hear "dry orgasm" and I assume it's just that - dry (which sort takes the fun out of it). What happens to the other fluids?

Is it healthy for the pumping action of the sperm duct to be blocked? I thought a build-up of sperm was unhealthy, which is why men should 'release' on a regular basis. Or is that just a masturbatory myth?

^TOTAL myth to give guys excuse to hump and dump.

I hope it's still wet. It's more fun that way.
