I have 250,000 over 25 years @ 4.59% and it comes in at 1,450/month. Add to that property tax, insurance, and strata fees, and you'll come in just under 1,900/month. That said, posted rates are higher now than they were two years ago, so you might be in/around the 5.0% or 5.5% range, which would translate into an extra $150 or so per month.

With 350,000 you'll be well over 2k then. Rates are forecasted to drop this Spring/Summer, so you might want to go variable and then lock in to a lower rate further down the road.

asking is useless. It depends on Downpayment, interest rate, length of mortgage, mortgage insurance, whether you roll in closing costs....

find an online calculator, estimate how much you can put down, decide on term (they have 40 year mortgages and interest only mortages for fools these days) and calculate it.

http://www.mortgage-calc.com/

for a simple loan of 350000 for 30 years at 5% it's 1875/month
