I pick it up on Thursday. Same colour as the pic.

Got the bigger 3.3ltr V6 instead of the 2.7litre,

Top model with leather, sunroof etc.

Gonna be good to tow the boat this summer too.

How was it on the hills? I only had a brief 10 minute drive. With a couple runs to 120kmh but no real hills or mountains.

I think with the 3.3 litre 250 hp it should be good. I drove the base 2.7 litre 185 hp and it was still okay in accelleration.

I forgot to check the tow capacity too....but I got the dealer to include a hitch and wiring.

Looks great. My old Korean gf swore by them, but she would, wouldn't she?

Yeah, I was a little skeptical of the whole Korean thing. But they seem to have come a long way in the last 5 years or so.

I read a lot of reviews, long term test drives etc.... The Santa Fe was rated higher than the Hondas, Toyotas and Nissans in almost every head to head comparo.

It's true, the Koreans are making some great cars.

You got yourself a deal, Bassfreak. Just please don't call it a "beater," otherwise I won't even be able to look at my car.

On the the hills due to elevation I had to keep her on the floor and the transmission kept on dropping into third. . However this is normal for any v6 or 4 cylinder I have drove in the Coquihalla.

Over the week this SUV grew on me and if I had the extra cash I would most likely pick one up for an extra vehicle.

Yeah, that has the old 2.7 in it.

The truck I got has a 3.3 litre with VVT etc.

Bloody hell, the dealer said he had one in the back lot, turns out he didn't so I am waiting for it to come from Alabama.

He offered to go to Vancouver on the weekend and drive one up for me. Yeah, like I want a "new" car with rock dings and 500 extra kms on the clock. I would rather have one still wrapped in plastic, trucked in.

They are manufactured in Alabama.

WTF

hyundai and kia are the worst vehicles to buy. I would return it, and if you want a good SUV, buy a tahoe or burb.

Yeah, like I said. We test drove a lot of SUVs in this class. It was the leader in too many facets to overlook. Fair financing rates as well, if you have to go that route.

We have had it for about 6 months. No complaints. Tows the little boat with no problems. Moderately rough roads are a breeze. It is amazing smooth on rough gravel, potholes, washboard roads etc.

"hyundai and kia are the worst vehicles to buy. I would return it, and if you want a good SUV, buy a tahoe or burb."

Now THAT is funny. Does this guy even know how ****ty the new GM SUVs are nowadays? I mean, if he said Honda or Toyota then thats just a matter of opinion. Once somebody sais GM its because they work there and need the sales.

The Tucsons and Santa Fe's are great cars. Good on ya for getting one thats an original colour!

Hyundai has come along way since it started,American cars just don't impress me anymore
with the exception of the retro Ford Mustang.
