anyone who has traveled knows that this is true. almost every country i’ve visited has had more attractive women. i assume that Canadian men are also unattractive but i’m not really sure.

Agreed

I agree, but I think it's cause we are used to ourselves.
|

|

diseased anuses are less attractive, I'm sure.
|

They are attractive enough. If you want my rant about Canadians dont get me started;
a. sit on the fence
b. invent nothing new
c. chip on the shoulder
d. national sport is fighting on ice skates
e. undrinkable beer
f. pathetic wine (ohhh its from Kelowna..better get 12 bottles of that vinegar sop)
g. holds artists heads under water til they drown (list of musicians who left Canada for recognition;;; Bare Naked Ladies, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, and even the comedian Rich Little never gets to do shows here, Howie Mandel moved to LA for a career, Canada spits on its musicians
and the most moronic, annoying, unnerving Canadian trait..the mentality of being hewers of wood and drawers of water, dont forget where you come from, yer garbage and you will always be garbage)
To that add architecture that reflects early 20th century strip mall, and Tim Hortons, Subway and the Bay.....
We may be many disgusting, repulsive things, but ugly we arent. We spend far too much time staring in the mirror primping for that.

Invent nothing new?
WOW. I guess the telephone and insulin are not really "major" things. Nor the incandescent lightbulb, electron microscope, JAVA, plexi-glass, undersea telegraph cable....
and a sh1t load more.
You are sadly uninformed for being such a world authority.
And a newsflash, artists don't move to the states for recognition. They move there for what comes with recognition. Its called money. FYI, the US population is 10 times that of Canada's. If you were running a business, (including peddling your artistic wares) where would you expand to?

australians and americans are also ugly. probably as ugly as canadians
|

|

I would have to disagree with the music thing. I believe the broadcasting rules here are 30% of music has to be canadian content. Hence why you hear so much nickelback, avril lavigne and nelly furtado etc. Plus there are lots of music grants available for bands (videofact for example), that I dont think would be available in the US at all.

Haha so true. This guy certainly doesn't think about what he writes before doing so.
WOW. I guess the phone and insulin are not really "major" things. Nor the incandescent lightbulb, electron microscope, JAVA, plei-glass, undersea telegraph cable....
This is my point exactly.

look, if you lame-asses want to contemplate what it means to be canadian go listen to cbc radio or start your own ****ing thread. that's not what this thread is about

NIMBY (an acronym of Not In My Back Yard) describes the phenomenon in which residents oppose a development as inappropriate for their local area, but by implication do not oppose such development in another's.
sunday please explain to us how what asspect of this thread applies to not in my back yard. maybe you mean 'grass is always greener on the other side'?
|

|
4/24/2007 10:20:00 AM
no, you have one rationale for the saying.
NIMBY is also the phenomenon where one goes and sh1ts everywhere else, but not close to "home".
As demonstrated by your idiotic and off topic musings in threads.....except here, your own.

that makes some sense... but Bassfreak... you don't have very good manners. i'm sure your parent raised you better than that

Oh burn on me, "parent", I get it. Nice.
A direct assault on every "asspect" of my "manors".
What nationality are you? You state that Canadians are ugly and clearly English is your second language.
Care to tell us where you are from and perhaps post a snapshot of yourself? You know, back up your claim a little bit.
