Im a pastor of a church in Dallas, and i know alot of ex-homosexuals, and i have known several pedophiles before. From what i have learned IS that homosexuals and pedophiles are both very similar. both homosexuals and pedophiles start with problems in there childhood. These problems usually develop from issues with the father model in the family. Without the male model in power and the love of the male figure in the family can result in the child getting a feeling of rejection from males and this is a problem that i've found very frequent in these cases. The reason is because then the child will be trying to be accepted by males and look up to them and when it come to puberty they can get confused and these can turn to sexual feelings, hence the thinking that they are born with the problem. my point is that i don't believe that homosexuals and pedophiles are genetic because i've seen all kinds of these cases come into my church and their healing has been successful mostof them eventually get married and have a family. It often takes months before the sufferer will come to m or someone and come out with this problem and quite often it'll be the first time they have ever come out with the problem to anyway and is a major relief to them. Over the year i've picked up the signs of these sufferers. they are usually very intraverted and never make friends, they run out of the service as soon as it's over to escape confrontation with anyone. The worst thing that a homosexual wants to hear is that these problems are genetic and cannot be healed. The truth is that most of these people do not want to be what they've become but they usuallyjust give up hope and just settle into what they do because society has for some reason just said that this is genetic and cannot be cured so just ignore them. but i've found these people are dying to just be like everyone else and when they hear there is hope, that is the start. I think that the only way for these people to get healing is to have supportive people around them that aren't scared of them and that understand that this is similar to say alcohol or drugs, it is a habbit that can be broken and i have seen this. but the most important thing is to have jesus in their life. jesus came and died for our sins and transgressions and a relatonship with jesus is the answer and the hope that is neccessary for healing and it's an awesome thing to see! if you want jesus in your life, you want your life to be put back on the rails and to have a RELATIONSHIP with our GOD which believe me is a modern day MIRACLE then say this pray.
Lord, jesus i accept that i am a sinner and have been a disgrace to your name. Lord i believe that jesus was beaten and had taken on every sin in the world and was pure and sinless and that jesus died for my sin and rose from the dead on the third day and by the blood our jesus i am saved and i accept jesus into my life and i also believe that jesus rose and is still alive today! and i ask you for you JESUS to come into my heart right now and i repent of my sins.
