I only take vitamin c when I am sick.
Otherwise I prefer to get nutrients from food.

A guy at work has been telling me I should get on Usana, but I'm not so sure. He goes on about the healing effects of it, but I swear I already practically regenerate and bounce back from everything.
Seriously...a dog bit my thumb off and it's right back on there, although it lost its double-jointedness.

whole food multivitamins seem to be the new thing
conventional multi's like centrum, etc are synthetic/chemical, as opposed to whole food vitamins come from a food source.
I've been trying to find a brand from RightFoods but I don't think they are available in retail stores here.
www.right-foods.com
Finlandia pharmacy has started their own line and I have seen one or two other lines of whole food products there as well. But they are quite pricey.

i like sublingual B12 or calcium ascorbate (buttered vitamin C) when i feel i need them, but like others have said a balanced diet is best.
with all of the vitamins and minerals on the market and a common ignorance of how they are metabolised, most north americans just end up with really expensive pee.

If you're worried about how natural your vitamins are, then I would suggest taking Nutrilite vitamins. They are 100% natural and organic. The company grows all the ingredients on their own organic farm located here in Ontario. They don't use any chemical sprays on the plants. I take them and it has cleared some of my health problems. They are totally worth the money. They make my pee turn neon yellow, but that's b/c they are so organic and they are flushing all the bad stuff out of your body. If you're interested in checking them out, then go to this website afullerton.qhealthzone.com I hope that this helps.

Yellow pee means you're taking more vitamin B or curcumin than your body can absorb that's all

Ok..heres the answer from a science prof...moi!
Sisu is an excellent brand..take the recommended dosage. The darker yellow urine is the result of B vitamins being dumped...you do not have green urine..check again..its bright yellow!
You cant hurt yourself taking supplements in the way you are. The only vitamins that can hurt you are MASSIVE dosages of vitamin A or D. And i mean MASSIVE..and for many months.
You will have a hard time getting adequate Selenium, Chromium, Vanadium and other trace elements from the diet. It can be done, of course, but why not add this supplement to an already good diet?
Then theres the issue of what a good diet is....base it on whole grains, such as brown rice, quinoa, spelt and millet. Add things like Salmon for omega fatty acids. Add veggies, go organic for the best nutrient content.
And even if you pee out B vitamins and other nutrients, this doesnt mean your body cant use them. This is just renal clearance of excessive nutrients. At the same time you are losing some, you are also saturating your body with what it needs to get through the day.
That having been said, nutritional supplements are not a panacea. But the replace gaps in our everyday eating.
Please add flax seed oil to this regimen. Omega fatty acids are notoriously difficult to obtain in the diet.
