I'm off on another long trip to about 8 or 9 countries woohoo!! haha

Who's been to the places mentioned in the title?
Got any tips that I should know?

While in Japan I'll only be in Tokyo for a few days. I can't see it all, but where's the places to be?

South India I'll be headed to Bangalore to Trivandrum up the Kerala Backwaters though Goa and flying out of Mumbai (Bombay)

Then in Indonesia I'll be headed to Jakarta then through Java and onto Bali and Lombok.

The rest of the countries I've been to before so I don't need much tips!
Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos

but I might need tips on the Philippines also!

Jakarta is dirty.

And hamburgers and hotdogs in Malaysia and Jakarta are just about the worst on the planet. Try club houses instead.

Oh yeah... I travelled there as a kid.

My bro and I have begged our mom to take us to McDonald's all over the world.

She usually said no but we'd get our burgers at the Holiday Inn.

Takadanababa station for the Astroboy theme every time the doors on a train are about to close.
Tokyo tower.
Vending machines for funny things.
Shibuya crossing, Hachiko, Harajuku girls and Meiji shrine can be done in a few hours.

Mandy....Well I landed a really good job and I negotiated 4 months off but no more than that, and also this is the best time for me to leave without affecting my job too much

Going overland from South Africa to Egypt would've taken me about 6 months and about $9000+ not including my free flight

This trip will costs me half that, and I'll still have my job...yay!
A little more than half the trip will be places I haven't been to before thenI'm taking my roomate Sully throught the rest of SE Asia. We're gonna rock it!!

Roppongi probably has the most foreigner friendly nightlife. Little bit sleazy but can be lots of fun.

One thing that can get annoying are the Africans everywhere trying to pull you into their bars. its a scam/trap so beware.

hay agro,

for japan, you can only use your debit card to withdraw cash at the postoffices. Yup. A postoffice. the postoffice is identified by a big red "T". Usually, there is a long lineup because that is the only place where travellers get cash.

It's a fun place! Make sure you get on the bullet train and bath in the onsens (sauna)
