Has anyone does this and want to share their experiences...?

I've been considering it for quite some time and I have a feeling it's going to happen, sooner rather than later. I have a pretty good job, am financially secure but I'm not afraid to let this go and go off and work elsewhere for a bit and then come back.

I wanna know about peoples' experiences who have done this and what I should know before I go ahead and make my dream come to a reality. heart

I most likely am... I've been wanting to go for a while now and now that my situation has changed, I can pursue my own investments. smile

Only thing is, it's fall in the South/East parts of Australia and that's where I want to be... but I'm okay with going in the cool weather and waiting for the warmth of the sunshine. smile

Hey, I can get my tikka masala stuffed out here.. why do I need to go to India for that...? tongue

I am looking for some valid input from those who have travelled/worked abroad... I've done my research for getting ahold of the proper documentation and can take care of all that in a matter of time but I want to hear about personal experiences from those who have actually done this.

I went to Australia on a working holiday visa when I was 18. I loved every moment of it but hardly worked because the beach was just too tempting.I travelled the east coast but made Surfers Paradise my base.

Soon, Paul but it doesn't feel like soon enough!

I have a feeling I'm not going to want to come back once I get out there... has anyone ever had that feeling within their being where you just know you are destined for something...? I'm feeling it right now. I have that feeling that once I get on the board, I'm done.

Do it before you get too old ** some working holiday visas have age limits.

I've had good experiences but some countries are less friendly to foreigners than we are here particularly to those that are working.

I know that I will abroad one day. I have always wanted to live somewhere a bit warmer like Australia or Asia, I just have to convince my boyfriend it will be the right thing to do once we have the money to make a proper transition. I *know* one day it will happen I just have to be patient.

For now I'll have to keep taking holidays and preferably month long ones
