How To Make A Vagabond
What Is It?
A Vagabond is a cocktail I created in June 2003. Its name derives from the ingredients:
Vermouth And Gin, Angostura Bitters, Olive, oNion, soDa.

How Do You Make It?
Put some crushed ice into a cocktail shaker.
Add a couple of healthy shakes of Angostura Bitters.
Add a splash of dry vermouth.
Shake well, then strain off and discard the liquid.
Add an ounce of good gin, straight from the freezer.
Shake well, then strain the liquid into a frosted martini glass.
Spear an olive and a cocktail onion with a toothpick and drop them into the glass.
Top off the glass with very fresh (important!), very cold club soda.

omg... that is a lot of stuff.... i would go with vodka, white run, gin, rye, as the "big five" obvious must haves can't do withouts. the rest is going to take some thinking.... i need a chart or something to figure how i can make the most yummy drinks with the fewest number of bottles.....

this might take a while and a lot of trips to the bar to do taste tests.

but here is a tip: get expensive bottles and fill them with cheap booze
