I'm throwing a bridal shower for my best friend, and since I've never done this before I NEED HELP!

It's going to be tame...more like a tea party vibe than a stagette.

Any ideas for games, decor, prizes, favours, whatever.

THANKYOU!

oh dude.. you should totally google for advice
and do a search on cv for showers as other people have wanted cv help

there are lots of good party planning time lines out there too

First and foremost.... ASK THE BRIDE WHAT SHE WANTS

Try these links:

Timelines saved me when I planned my friend's bridal shower.
It was a very tame luncheon.
She wanted clothes and lingerie.
I served a lot of Dutch food cause her parents are both Dutch.
All the ladies got to take a rose home... which also doubled for decoration.
I posted about other games we did in other bridal shower threads on cv.

I google like crazy but all the sites I find have the lamest, least orignal games.

You're right though, I should have searched CV before posting. I have such awful forum etiquette.

Thanks for the links anyway smile

I am no help here. I had a wedding and 2 babies and never got a single shower.

and I'm bitter.

I have boycotted all showers since. if I feel bad I send a gift but I ain't going to another one ever. haha.

^how is that possible? no showers for anything? sad

I'm no help on ideas either, even though I had 3 baby showers for 1 kidlet and my gf's and I are going to Vegas for my stagette and will probably do a spa thing there for my shower. smile

The wedding is going to be very small...only family and close friends.

Would it be a major faux pas to invite people that are not invited to the wedding?? The bride and I are undecided on this. At first I thought it would be really tacky, but then I considered the size of the wedding.

Quite a few of the female wedding guests live out of town so they might not be able to make it to the shower...

What do you guys think?

LoLo that's super uncool that no one gave you a shower sad
