If you kept your original invoice usually manufacturer would still warrant it.

all the risk of phone unlocking are clearly stated on our "repair/unlock form".

"clearly stated" on a form, and explained from seller/ retailer to customer are completly different things.
Sounds like you don't take the time to explain it in person.
"Just initial here, there, signature here, there,...its the typical paperwork thats 1-2 pages long in smaller print.. don't worry about it.... "
