So, i came across some in my dad's fridge- i know he used to use this stuff due to liver issues.
The lot / expiry date on the bottle shows up as 06/ 2009
I opened the bottle, and sniffed it.... it smelled like rank rotting cardboard almost.
I'm about to toss it...
but before I do... is it supposed to be like that, and look kinda dark and sludgy, but still has a somewhat smooth texture?
And how do you guys take it? When? Any tips?

it is never anywhere near fresh smelling.
rank rotting cardboard is a perfect summation actually.
is it in pill form...or 'natural' raw form?

i take the pill form (easier to swallow...)
one a day...
i used to take a homeopathic /liquid formula (10 drops under the tongue, but it kept burning my mouth...so i killed it.
i would READ the instructions on the bottle first.
and if there aren't any instructions to be read,mix 10-15 drops in some juice and chug it.

Is the pill form just as effective as liquid? Is it better at the beginning of the day, with a meal, empty stomach etc?

pill form is never as easily absorbed or as effective as the natural/liquid state

mine say to be taken with a meal , which makes sense in terms of the overall absorption.

I think i'll try the liquid ONCE, and if do-able, i'll keep on chuggin periodically throughout the week. However, if it doesn't go so well, I may get the pills.
how much does the pill vs liquid go for?

Dandelion root and tumeric work too.
Liqiud version is ALWAYS better than capsules.
Try red clover as well, an excellent blood cleanser.
shake the bottle up.
it should be a purple colour i believe, if it is in fact the stuff i took a long while ago.
