Looking into moving there....what are your thoughts on the area?

I'm pretty new to the lower mainland and don't know anyone who lives there. What's it like? Where are some good places to go (parks, restaurants, etc)?

its a small town kind of place - pretty much the most poppin place is foggy dew on fridays & saturdays, which is packed.

other than that, there are a lot of good looking girls that live here

i work there and i don't really like it (esp the coquitlam centre area).. but it seems like a popular place to raise a family....

one good thing about it tho is that there's lots of space, nature and wildlife surrounding the suburban areas..

Not a fan of it myself. Too suburban. Reminds me a lot of the city in Weeds.

it totally depends on what you are looking for. There are amazing neighborhoods with multi-million dollar homes if you're nesting.. but I don't think you're in luck if you're looking to party.

I live in Coquitlam, on the north side (eagle ridge area) and I really like it. I'm surrounded in trees and lakes and have an amazing view.
You also need to have a car to get here and nobody picks through my garbage (except the bears).

Coquitlam will begin to suck when they build the skytrain down through Port Moody and around towards the mall.
