Ugh, not a chance.
People don't need unhindered access to alleged 'health' products and treatments that haven't been rigorously scientifically tested.
Just say 'no' to snake-oil salesmen.

Schmoove - you need to educate yourself on the issue, you are only showing your ignorance.
You could get a good head start by watching the YouTube videos I posted of constitutional lawyer Shawn Buckley in the "C-51 hard to swallow" Why not try and broaden your horizons a little rather than coming off like a broken record. You may learn something new from the experience.
There is a rally being held today at the Vancouver Art Gallery - 1:00pm - in support of the launch of the Candadian Charter of Health Freedom and to stop Bill C-51 in its tracks.

Does anyone know a good barber in town that does blood-letting?
I'm having a hard time finding this service in town, and what a shame. It's been around for much longer than any of these fancy new "treatments"

Lol.
Should I broaden my horizons by taking echinacea? You know, that wonderful cure-all that actually does nothing?
Or maybe I could try some other homeopathic remedies, you know, those inert substances that people are paying hard-earned money for, even though they only contain trace amounts of some 'active' ingredient and have never been shown to provide any benefit whatsoever. Well, other than a placebo effect.
As I said, just say 'No' to snake-oil salesmen.
We've already legitimized chiropractic 'medicine' and TCM, which are highly dubious.
We don't need to add any more bogus therapies to the pile.
Well, except maybe those magic crystals. They look pretty legit.

Schmoove, did I mention that pharmaceuticals routinely manipulate their rigorously tested scientific findings to patients detriment? Vioxx? You remember...
I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

|

How about we just agree you got owned.

You made a funny!
Echinacea works (for it's intended purpose) , show me a scientific study that says it doesn't and I'll show you one that says it does. if you don't believe me, why not ask the fine people in the Natural Health Products Directorate at Health Canada?
As for the rest, I'm not talking about snake oil or magic crystals, but it that's what you think, you're entitled to your opinion. opinions are like a s s holes, every body has one! I can respect that.

How did it get derailed?
You announced a rally in support of snake-oil salemen and people made their comments on that topic.
Or did you intend this to be a love-in for quacks?
|

|
9/11/2008 8:04:00 AM
Did you invite everyone back to your place after for some ear candling?

I have no support for that bill but i'm not going to protest it either.
Seriously, why does every VAG protest happen during business hours on a workday? What kind of people are they interested in showing? Doesn't seem very intelligent.
