I had the pleasure of being served a violation ticket by a "fine" member of VPD's motorbike posse. Without getting into details, he wrote out the ticket and misspelt my surname. Other than a virtually illegible DL#, the rest of the information was written correctly. Does anyone know if this ticket is valid, given the obvious error?

Man up, pay the ticket. Stop being a bitch on technicalities.

the ticket IS valid. The judge will not throw it out if you dispute it, over surname spelling.
Remember, the rest of the info on the ticket was written correctly. The judge will most likely assume that the surname mispelling was accidentaly. Add the fact that with all the info, and DL #, and you have a weak case to dispute. What YOU think to be a virtually illegible DL # on ticket may be what the judge thinks to be legible, and corroborates all the info on the ticket, as well as your prescence in the court.
Also, do you have many or any other vehicle violations? A chonic repeat offender would be given less leniancy.
Man up, pay the ticket., stop being a bitch on technicalities.

Thanks for the input c_m. I'm disputing this ticket on the merits of the best case against it. I won't be disclosing every salacious detail for ones like your petty self to dissect. Nice hobby BTW.
