There were rumours a while back that CVEG wanted the forums to die and just focus on the money making aspects of the site without having to deal with the forum crap.
Maybe esco et. al. are actually joint CVEG accounts specifically designed to shut the forums down and chase people off.
It's working.

CVEG can do whatever they want- its their site, right?
So, if they want to close down the discussion forums, who are we to complain if it makes business sense? I dunno, that's just my opinion. It's not like we paid for a membership or anything.
