haha he got suspended for that? Can't view the video for some reason, but I read about the quote on canucks.com. I thought the quote was pretty funny, but I was surprised he'd actually say something like that in an interview...

haha, I enjoy the fact that even his teammates are even comenting on the fact that he never mans up after he's been chirping.
He's lucky he got suspended, Phaneuf wouldn't let him skate away from that fight like he does every other one.

^ Says the non-hockey fan.
Avery's an idiot. He's a blight on the NHL. He's got no class, no sportsmanship. His own teammates don't like him. It's too bad he's talented or we wouldn't have to hear his name. Maybe if he took the time to focus on the game of hockey he could actually be an asset instead of a distraction that gets passed around from team to team year after year.

Hardly.
Guys like Ovechkin make the NHL exciting. Avery just talks shxt, takes cheap shots and runs from fights.

He's basically a wrestling heel, playing hockey.
Maybe he believes he can add drama to the sport, to make it more exciting? I don't know, has hockey dipped in popularity? Maybe he's doing it to branch out and make a name for himself. I mean, let's be honest, if he gets suspended like this, now EVERYONE knows his name. Being painted as a bad boy really, really helps your image, it's a timeless thing to rebel.
My prediction is that either he'll be ignored, apologize, and fade into hockey obscurity, or he will ride out the bad boy image, get suspended/banned, and move into acting or another TV personality role...

Maybe we'll see him on one of those washed up celebrity reality shows in a few years.

Because Canadians are usually quiet reserved people which is a good thing.
Speaking of hockey, the Canucks will be losing a 4th game in a row. Gillis is still set on waiting for his beetch Mats Sundin.

keep all the emotions bottled up inside and then lose it when someone with an umbrella walks under an awning.
