Thats a concern as well. She has a nice black pea coat that is only a couple years old. Its gotten pilly (sp?) and the buttons seem to sag a bit.
I will check out Aritzia, do they have brand names or a house brand that I should be looking for?

Yes, they have their own brand and also Wilfred . I like the Wilfred ones better. They are all definitely less than $500. Most of them are $250 to $300. Metorotown, Robson, Pacific Centre and Park Royal, all have Artizia, Banana and Club Monaco.

I bought a great coat a few seasons back from Benetton.
I never ever even go into that store, but it caught my eye so maybe worth browsing at least.
It is a long 3/4 length, came in many different colours, w/ a hidden zip front with structured toggle like visible closures, great pockets and fit, a styled hood and nice high neck. More professional looking than casual and super duper toasty warm! I still loves it.
I think it was around $300.
The CK one you posted I am not too fussed about - I prefer a more structured coat and that one reminds me of a bathrobe.

I personally like the 3/4 length...but that's 'cause I'm short and I look weird in long coats...but if the person you're buying for is tall & leggy I'd go with the full length one...

I went to the Mackage website after trying to navigate the HORRENDOUS Aritzia site.
Mackage has a LOT of cool stuff.
Thanks for the heads up on that.

3/4 is better.
Spank has really cute coats.

Ohhh I'd check out Spank for sure.
I wouldn't say their stuff is over the top though. It's not that it's not conservative, it's just that they're stylish.
Definitely check out Spank. Check out Aritzia too, they have some nice pea coat type coats that fit really well. I almost got one from there, then I decided to buy a leather jacket from Spank instead haha.

Yeesh, just googled and found their site. Boutique on Commercial, if I got it right?
Don't think that stuff would fit her needs. This is a coat that will be used mostly as a daily wear coat through the winter for a pharma rep.
Not twiggy walking around London on "go sees".
(not saying the styles are bad, just won't do for this purpose)

Then check out Aritzia- they have more basic coats (But they fit really well, and are a bit more versatile for the purpose) and less pricey as well.
