It was wonderful. I actually have a book somewhere... I believe it's called Q&A.... been meaning to read it for about 2 years. Half way thru the movie I realized that they were the same story.

Plot a bit predictable but not in a bad way. It is super. It will be considered a timeless classic. A fresh British take on Bollywood! Love the 'City of God' camera angles and street kid themes. Love the soundtrack. I couldn't speak at the end of the movie. Will have to see it again!

something that's interesting... slumdog hasn't opened in india yet, and isn't expected to be a popular movie.

i haven't seen it, probably won't... but it's interesting what side of india people here want to see; slums, orphans, underprivileged, victims. same goes for other countries.

i hear south americans are really cashing in... making movies about poor people so that they can export them to theaters like 5th ave big grin $$$

ppl in india don't wanna see poor ppl

i always thought that Bollywood was a tool to oppress the ppl of india, to give them unachievable idols

its always a fairy tale, and the actors in the movies are not what typical indians look like

unlike hollywood?

bollywood movies are they way they are to sell, the same way slumdog is the way it is. people here want to see that side of other countries.
