Every time the WA state guy I dated last year came to visit, his entire truck would be searched.

right, but they have to follow the letter of the law, show probable cause

It says he swearved on the freeway, so they usually have the right to check

'smile now, cry later' as they say in california. ^^^ One minute you're buying rounds for the whole bar and the next you're facing 10-15 years in prison.
that's the life

That's a shame.

People risk too much for living that sort of lifestyle, and what for? Too make some fast cash? Not worth it IMO.

I feel bad for his parents. Hopefully he will get a fair trial.

The states won't be easy on him whatsoever. First of all he is NOT a resident there, either was bringing drugs into the country and/or taking them out. That is trafficking. And 3M is ALOT of cocaine.

3 million dollars is the typical police exageration....75 kilos are enough for a big sentence but not worth 3 million wholesale.

He actually didn't seem like a bad person when I met him years ago. 40 years would be horrible. I would most likely kill myself. What is the point is staying alive if you won't get out till you are in your 60s.

I say it because I knew the guy personally. It's sad to hear, I don't think he really is a criminal at heart, but perhaps got mixed in with the wrong crowd.
