Gay, awesome, or awesomely gay?

I have been noticing more of these things on the streets lately, and am starting to develop a dislike for them. Not so much because they are stupid (even though they are) but because the riders seem to only be interested in riding them in the hopes that people will look at them and ooh and ahh.

These are becoming popular too.

I might back one of these.

I saw one of these driving around downtown yesterday. But I don't think you are allowed to make fun of them because they are electric.

I mean, when the drive through kid pities you, it's time to assess.

I see a 90 year old East Indian woman riding her electric scooter down the sidewalk in Surrey regularly. About 10% of me hopes some random person at the bus stop pushes her off into traffic. That number grows and shrinks according to traffic conditions.

Someone I know sells the Canam Spyder thingies at his store. He says most buyers are middle aged and older. People that have rode bikes for a long time but are getting too old or frail to ride a 2 wheeled bike. Or they are just getting into the "sport" but lack the confidence to ride a real bike. Three wheels are somehow less intimidating.

Apparently its the same engine they use in seadoos and shit in there.
