About Old Canberra Inn

The historical Old Canberra Inn, situated in Mouat Street , Lyneham, was first licensed in 1876 and is the oldest pub in Canberra .

Recently the Inn was taken over by new owners who have restored its charm and historical tradition.

The venue offers ample parking and a safe, relaxing atmosphere that caters to everyone.The mood and scene have changed recently to include Tuesday night trivia, Thursday night karaoke, Friday night blues bands, and live music each Sunday afternoon. Entry is free.

The Old Canberra Inn is now a place for all seasons. When the cooler weather closes in, sit by the slow combustion log fires in the Homestead Room or enjoy the function room, which is also available for hire.

As the warmer weather approaches, indulge in the beautiful surroundings of the leafy outdoor courtyards. The courtyards are very private, perfect for enjoying intimate chats over a glass of wine from the exclusive range or a selection from the popular or boutique beers.

The beer gardens offer open sun-drenched areas or that shady nook to cool off in.

There are a variety of high quality meals on offer, including the traditional Sunday roast and dessert for only $10.

‘Cook-your-own’ barbecues will be introduced shortly.

The old stables have been transformed into a tranquil lounge room- an ideal setting for a friendly get together or small function.

The front courtyard is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy live music performances each Sunday during the summer months.
