About Divot's Sports Bar

Now here's one place were drinking and driving go hand-in-hand -- and it's perfectly legal. After all, one theme tees off the entire experience at Divot's, in North Royalton: golf. On the way up the driveway, guests see a miniature golf course in front of the bar, and behind it sits a full-size driving range where patrons can belt a few golf balls before having a few belts. There's even a way to combine the two worlds, as an outdoor patio gives folks a good view of the range. Inside, the place is small but cozy, with a limited menu that features standard bar fare, along with soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps. On Friday nights, the bar hosts a 'Name That Tune'-style contest, with a pair of local performers playing snippets of songs and customers guessing their titles for prizes. In all, it's a great place to have a couple after a round of golf, sans the exorbitant country-club fees. -- Todd Stumpf
