You don't have to venture far from the Rock and Roll capital to hear a good blues set. At the Savannah Bar and Grille in suburban Westlake, about 15 miles from downtown, you can hear some of the area's top blues acts, including Alex Bevan, the Curtis Brothers and the James Solberg Band. The food at Savannah runs to finger-food appetizers, sandwiches, seafood, steaks and pasta. There's even a kids menu. Local microbrews like Crooked River are on tap, along with the usual domestic and imported suspects The Savannah, which sits in a strip mall, is known for being crowded, so if your favorite band is on the docket, make sure to get there plenty early. -- Todd Stumpf
