And, as the fine folks who frequent the spot will tell you, Cook County isn't a mere twang bar hangout for those who prefer cowboy boots over Birkenstocks. Sagebrush chart-toppers from Duane Steele to Patricia Conroy have graced the stage of this 700-seat venue voted the best nightclub in Canada at the Juno Awards. Even rockers from Honeymoon Suite to Alannah Myles have unsaddled for the odd night here.
