About Schanks Athletic Club
Let's face it, a sports bar is an oxymoron. How many folks feel a little more fit or supple after an afternoon in one of these establishments, other than in the elbows? That's a marked contrast to "athletic club", where one conjures up visions of weight rooms, exercise bikes, and aerobics classes. Throw into the mix Schanks, which by virtue of its name, lumps itself into that category.

You won't see any of the aforementioned weight-reduction devices or methods at Schanks. Instead, you'll find 17 big-screen TVs to catch CFL, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and (insert league acronym of your choice here). If the game's a tad on the boring side, check out their array of pool tables, golf simulators, 10-pin bowling lanes, mini-golf, horse-racing action or NTN trivia games. All that and a bar selection of food that is reportedly always hot and drinks that are apparently always cold. And once you've sated that worked-up appetite, it may be time for a real work-out.
