About Eclipse
Friday nights at Eclipse have been the same since the '80s when it was known as Campus Corner. The stainless-steel dance floor surrounded by mirrors is sticky from spilled drinks. The DJ spins New Order, The Smiths, The Cure and other '80s artists. The crowd packs in around 11PM. Eclipse is a Jacksonville tradition... dark and smoky. The music is the big draw here -- old wave, techno and college alt-rock are heavily featured.

Eclipse is in artsy Riverside, and the crowd represents the neighborhood. The front part of the bar is better suited for conversation, and there are a few small tables. -- Liz Morgan
