Set in the former Spanish Embassy, No 5 is an elegant Grade II listed building that will have you wishing you were a landed aristo. Totally refurbished, the grand setting has been spruced up with modern twists: high moulded ceilings painted deep red; gold and burnt orange walls; elegantly curved dining chairs at dark-wood tables that look like they've been scored from a Sotheby's antique auction.

Winner of best London club 2003, there are four bars, two rooms of music (each with a VIP space), and best of all, eight rooms to stay the night in if you're in no condition to drive home.
